Skibbereen Autocross (05-04-2009)

Skibbereen & District Car Club ran their loose surface autocross at Coppeen Concrete just outside Enniskeane on the 5 April 2009. A good crowd showed up including 20+ competitors. 3 Juniors started including myself who was suffering from the flu!. The track was short and fast but also tight in places and the practice lap saw me try a little too hard and i ended up hitting silage bales and pushing in the passengers door. i settled down for the first timed run but was still to cautious at the point where i hit the bales on the practice lap. i improved slightly on the 2nd timed run i set a fairly decent time which was to be my best as i couldnt improve on the 3rd and final run. All in all i feel that i could and should have done better but i suppose my shunt on the practice did the confidence no good at all. Well at least there another few points in the bag for the Munster Autocross Championship. Next up is the Killarney Autocross which is due to take place on the 24th May in Mike Cronins Pit, Killarney. ill try and root out some pics of today and the incar of run 2 will be up later,
