Munster CC Autocross 26-12-2008

Well we headed off for Clonakilty to Campbells Quarry on the 26th December for the Munster car club autocross. The track was very technical and tight with plenty handbrake hairpins. On my first run i set a time of 2:58 and i managed to bring my best time down to 2:56 on my final run of the day which i was surprised with considering the track had got rough towards the end. i finished 3rd in the juniors out of 5 or 6 cars starting and 2nd in the novice section which i was pleased with. The Juniors was won by Daniel Cronin with David Beamish finishing 2nd in his Nova. The overall winner was Ian Stanley in a civic. All in all i have had a great year finished all 4 autocrosses i started without any major problems and i enjoyed them so much. I have a couple of things to do to the car over the short break like fixing a few dents and scrapes and fitting seat bars under the brakets. I have yet to confirm my plans for 2009 and i will keep you updated on them once i decide what ill do.
