Birr Autocross

Well we made the long trip to Birr in Co-Offaly for their loose surface autocross which took place on the 30th November 2008 just outside moneygall. Gordon Percy and his team put together an excellent track which was 1 mile long. For the practice run the track was still covered with frost and i put the car backwards up on a bank which didnt help the confidence. On my first timed run i was sound asleep and seemed to go up on every bank there was. On the second run i picked up a bit and set 2nd fastest junior time to bring me up the 3rd but on the 3rd and final run i was slow again as the track was very rough as i was the second last car out. All in all i was very poor and just couldnt get used to the track at all. In the finish i took 4th Junior and 1st Novice.
